Call Centre Representative - Outbound Call Centre

Permanent part-time position.

SUMMARY

The Canadian Opera Company (COC) is looking for articulate, professional and dynamic Call Centre Representatives to join our highly successful front line staff to contact existing and potential subscribers and donors through our in-house Sales and Acquisition office.  Representatives work on various programs including subscription sales and annual fundraising projects.

Duties include:

  • Making out-bound telephone calls
  • Successfully soliciting subscriptions and charitable gifts for the COC
  • Expanding your knowledge of art through opera


KEY REQUIREMENTS

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  In order to apply, candidates must be able to commit to this 20 hour per week schedule. Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner are key success factors.  In addition, you are self-motivated and have previous experience in sales/fundraising.  Knowledge of opera and/or the performing arts, in general, is considered an asset. 

In this role, your earning potential is linked to a performance-based wage scale.
