Parsifal will be rescheduled for the fall of COC’s 2022/2023 season
Toronto – Given continued restrictions on large public gatherings in Toronto due to ongoing precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Canadian Opera Company will be cancelling all in-person performances, programming, and events through the fall of its 2020/2021 season.“Since the cancellation of our spring season back in March, we have been actively exploring every option regarding what our return to the stage might look like in our current reality,” says COC General Director Alexander Neef.

Toronto – Drawing on a long-standing musical tradition, the COC Ensemble Studio has creatively reimagined the salon-style home concert into a relaxed virtual experience. Toronto – For the first time ever, the Canadian Opera Company is inviting audiences to view some of its most beloved productions through a new, limited-time series, From the Vault. Every Thursday through the spring and summer, the company is releasing one full-length archival recording of a COC performance, beginning with its 2017 staging of R. Strauss’ Arabella. This presentation was the first production of Arabella in Canadian history and starred Erin Wall, Jane Archibald, and Tomasz Konieczny, with Patrick Lange at the podium. Read more
