An afternoon workshop, Living Opera provides a half day with opera professionals to provide secondary students viable access points to independently and actively engage in that's evening's performance.
Workshop content is geared to the artistic and production elements in opera they will be seeing. Topics may include choral singing, staging techniques, special effects, or historical context.

In consultation with a dedicated classroom teacher, we will aim to create a program suited to your curricular goals and student population. Opportunities to connect with mainstage opera, artists in the classroom, and intensive performance experiences are all a part of the collaboration between the COC and our partner schools.
The 2019/2020 programs are currently in preparation. We may be able to accommodate additional schools with strategies and resources in mind. for paid programs. Otherwise, applications for the 2020/2021 season will be available in March 2020.
